MOTOMESH Extension Kit -  2.4/4.9 GHz Broadband Data Solution

General Information

The MOTOMESH Extension Kit is a prepackaged system for municipalities and public safety agencies looking to provide dedicated licensed network connectivity to first responders, license-free mobile broadband to public works employees, and WiFi access to public users - all over a single network.  The MOTOMESH Extension kit enables cost-effective scalability and simplified municipal wireless broadband deployments.  It is the first and only integrated private and public combined solution available on the market.

The MOTOMESH solution is a dual-band wireless broadband data system that operates at the 2.4 GHz ISM band (unlicensed) and 4.9 GHz (licensed) public safety band using mesh networking technology.  This system provides both wide-area broadband data coverage and peer-to-peer ad-hoc networking.  This system also provides users with sustained high data rate performance at vehicular speeds and with location capabilities, which are unique attributes that are not found in competing solutions and are considered critical to many public safety applications.  The system is designed primarily to satisfy the needs of public safety on the 4.9 GHz band.  This system is also designed to simultaneously serve other municipal constituencies, such as public works agencies and general public access, over the unlicensed 2.4 GHz band.  The multiple use cases provide a strong value proposition for municipalities by spreading the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rationalization over a wider base of users.

In addition to a MOTOMESH equipment package (detailed below) the MOTOMESH Extension kit includes various options:  AirMobile™, Wireless Network Extension, and Multi-Net Mobility™.  AirMobile allows you to easily manage large file transfers and software updates.  Wireless Network Extension allows you to extend your mobile coverage with access to public networks.  Multi-Net Mobility adds security and session persistence while you seamlessly roam across coverage areas and between your private network and the public network.
